Ajani House

Celebrating LIFE!

Ajani House Bakery was founded in 2016 in Nairobi as a home baking hobby by Adelaide Njeri. In 2017, she decided to run the bakery as a business with the aim of creating employment. The business was registered as a company in June 2021.

Values

1. Quality – Delivering premium products made with the finest ingredients.

2. Creativity – Designing unique and memorable creations for every occasion.

3. Customer-Centricity – Putting our clients’ satisfaction at the heart of everything we do.

4. Community Empowerment – Creating jobs, mentoring entrepreneurs, and supporting  local initiatives.

5. Integrity – Upholding honesty, transparency, and professionalism in all our operations.

6. Teamwork – Fostering collaboration and growth within our team to achieve  shared success

In 2022, Ajani House set up its production space and cake outlet in Kasarani, Nairobi. And in Jan 2024 they expanded their location to include a cafe. Each step has seen success and Ajani House has now served over 25,000 customers over the years and employed over 35 employees directly and indirectly.

Adelaide and her team believe that every cake has a story to tell – they customize cakes for their clients according to the occasion, giving them a way to identify with the cake and portray a story/message. They have carved out a niche delivering cakes for events amongst the middle to high-end market, and can boast a very satisfied celebrity clientele. Ajani House has achieved this through quality cakes, high-touch personalised service through a strong team, and collaboration with popular influencers. And happy customers refer Ajani to their friends and family. Ajani House serves a growing customer base with over 101.3k followers and growing daily on different social media platforms.

With an investment from INTENTUM and partners, Ajani House has expanded into another cake outlet in the central business district with the ambition to scale the bakery into a leading bakery brand name throughout Kenya in time. Adelaide is focussing on strengthening systems, automating some of her processes and building a strong team that is ready to scale.
